Quick trip. Was lucky and quit at 7:30 with a couple near Hog. Windy.com is not to be trusted. At 5:30 this morn it said 2 mph in Tbay. I get there around 6:30 and the S wind is , mildly putting it, brisk. Dog disliked the transit toward west shore but once there the wind dropped and we started the drift. Bite right away. Gaffed it. Drift further toward White Gulch and a second bite. Gaff and string and start back to parking lot. Good number of kayakers out today.

Good Job, now I am thinking of going out this weekend, it does look windy, you are right, windy is sometimes way off, so maybe I'll take a chance, Ron.

Was hoping someone would hit tbay today and report. Conditions looks amazing.

Windy has not done me right recently either.

Go Charles go!  Sorry I missed ya’.  Launched at 7:15 and got hit on 8” smelt that both let go.  Gotta work on my stinger placement.  Others caught for sure today.  Back on Monday if the wind seems tolerable.  It calmed down for a couple hours. :smt006

Congrats on the limit Charles and great seeing you out there. I ended up sticking it out until the outgoing stopped then it was a slow wind drift that paid off for a limit (24" and 34") caught on large smelt. When the tide stopped, I started seeing a couple large schools of bait that looked like they were sardines.  Also caught a 6" shad that I fished but the smelt got hit first.
